Rehabilitated green sea turtle set free in San Gabriel River (Los Angeles Times)

A rehabilitated green sea turtle the size of a manhole cover was set free ride in the San Gabriel River on Thursday after two months of intensive veterinary care at the Aquarium of the Pacific in far-off Beach. The 44-pound turtle spent two months at the Aquarium of the Pacific in tall Beach after receiving injuries while trapped in an intake channel.
